What Is Vocational Training?
Vocational training is used to prepare for a certain trade or craft. Decades ago, it used to refer solely to such fields as welding and automotive service, but today it can range from hand trades to retail to tourism management. Vocational training is education only in the type of trade a person wants to pursue, forgoing traditional academics.
Finding the right course for your needs:
We are often asked about the types of courses and professional development that work best. The answer is that it depends on the exact situation and needs of the candidate, including job roles, levels of experience, and industry not forgetting the candidate’s personal preferences.
The golden rule here is that what works for one company may not work for others, and can also vary over time and across different circumstances. This is why it is always a good idea to try and compare courses that are delivered using different training methods, developing an understanding of what is most effective given a certain set of requirements.
Our training facility
Tower Training have teamed up with various training agencies to deliver the best training possible to our clients. Early this year we opened our own training facility in Preston. At the moment this is limited to transport training. We have the facility for 20 students at a time and we specialise in “Driver CPC”. We can also deliver training at your company premises.
We are also expanding into other areas such as “Chapter 22” “Health & Safety” “CSCS” “hygiene” and many other areas.
