Job Description Head Chef. The job of a Head Chef is a demanding and highly responsible roll. As Head Chef you would be answerable to and report to Senior Managers and the Executive Chef.

The Head Chef’s job would normally consist of planning menu’s, ensuring that the kitchen meets and maintains the highest level of hygiene and all health and safety aspects within the kitchen.

You would direct the Junior Chefs and be responsible for all matters relating to production, ordering, stock control, financial control and all matters relating to the smooth running of a successful and well organised kitchen.

Reporting to the Senior Manager you would ensure that all duties and responsibilities, standards of cleanliness and any additional tasks are carried out in a cost efficient and timely manner.
