Job Description bar Staff. Bar Jobs can be found in Public Houses, Clubs, Nightclubs, Lounges, Taverns, Inns, Hotels and just about every establishment that offers patrons alcoholic beverages and Soft Drinks.
It is the Bar Staff’s Job to serve beer and wine and provide stimulating conversation to patrons.
Bar Staff are responsible for keeping the bar area clean and take inventory. Bar Staff accept cash payments or opens up a tab for patrons to pay for drinks.
Bar Staff also have a responsibility not to serve alcohol to an intoxicated person and can be held liable if they allow that person to leave, drive a vehicle and cause an accident, knowing full well they are unfit to drive. A responsible Bar Person will stop serving an intoxicated customer and advise them not to drive.
Bar Staff who have pleased the customer generally receive tips and this can enhance the Bar Persons wages considerably.
